SO LET US WAIT FOR ANEW GHATIKA…….

THE TIME IS CEASE LESS ….
BUT THE SAME CAN BE EASES.
SO LET US WAIT FOR ANEW (घ टि का)….(प ळे )
Before I write a Note on "Maze Baba.", I feel I will write on TIME, the only important "Ghatika" of our life. In my mother tongue the word, "Ghatika", is used IN various ways. It is so valuable that it is used from our Birth, to marriage, to Death. They say that, " Ghatika Kay Sangtey te baghaych." (We will see What The time says ..)

There is a saying, " Kal (का ळ ) Aala Hota pan Vel (वे ळ ) Aali Navti."  (Time was up but still that was not The time.) Both the "Times", has different meanings and words in Marathi.

I have observed a very unique similarity. I don't really know the etymology of the word  Ghatika. But I found a PERSIAN Watch made from Ghatika-Patra. THE WATCH is also called as GHATIKA PATRA in Sanskrit.

I also liked what the SHAKESPEARE says, "The Time is Ceaseless……" Time is really ceaseless. We cannot hold it. But what if we wait for Anew TIME/GHATIKA to come. And when we become successful in waiting for Anew time……Waiting Creatively……. IT  EASES  US TOO.

1. May be spending that time in our own PASSIONATE WORK,

2. Or any ART form to help our own thought flow.

3. Or CHANGING in what we were doing before. e.g. changing a small thing as changing profile picture can also change a lot, or meeting new people, or changing thoughts and feelings….

4. Simply Meditating, Praying  and waiting with fingers Cross.

5. Know more, Choose more and can Give more….

We have a big list to select and we can still grow the list by adding many things in it. But our thought and emotions change according to our own Selection of that Particular Time. As our emotions go HAYWIRE for that particular time the same way it happens. Both are MOMENTARY Phases but Both are  completely different than each other. Depends upon What do we know more about it, How do we choose more about it, And Give about it. Actually it's a very big unending topic cannot complete in a one Note!!!!!!

Time comes and goes….the moment comes and goes….What we take from it, what we make from it, what we expect from it, what we SENSE from it becomes very very crucial. It aware us, make us more connected, focused, intentional and  goal oriented.

So what if we say that,  NO TIME IS BAD….IT CONTINUES….WE NEED TO MOVE... ACCORDING TO OUR GOALS….SO WE CAN MOVE IT TOO…..AS WE WANT.

LET US ALL GET OVER  THE UNWANTED MOMENTS WHICH WILL NOT BE THERE SOON….BECAUSE ANEW GHATIKA WILL BE TAKING THERE PLACE….AS IT CONTINUES….

SO, WISH YOU ALL HAVE A VERY PROSPEROUS, JOYFUL, KIND, PAINLESS, PEACEFUL GHATIKAS (MANY) ALL YEARS THROUGH AND ALL THE TIME…….

HOPE YOUR WAITNG FOR ANEW GHATIKA IS PEACEFUL TOO!!!!!!!!!!

"Mazi Aaii."

Mazi Aaii, was the most beautiful woman I know in my life. She was not only beautiful but she was also a very good mother and a very good cook. A very passionate to do things in time and was very hard to catch time when it was very  important in life.

But…... when did TIME caught her no one realised……..

She was the best event manager. She used to do a lot of preparations before any event, literally... it may be my elder sister's marriage or it may be her own hospitalisation. It may be a study taking hour or it may be my father's arrival from his office. Everything was just as it was needed, wanted, exact of that particular time.

She was a very graceful lady and very good at ART and HEART. She always had a rich taste, and rich choice. She was a very good dress designer. Her ART of dress designing has acquired by my elder sister.  And her cooking ART was grabbed by my younger sister. For me I got a little bit of her looks and little bit of everything. And one more thing I have taken from her and that is her Feeling language.

She always used to ask us all, "What is feeling to you?"  Whenever we used to go to her; in the late evening to share everything whatever happened in a day. She used to ask us about feelings and thoughts, about particular situation and what was happening to us. I remember one day Me and my all friends;  we could not play in the evening because a very tall boy was deliberately playing with his FOOT BALL in the ground; Everyone took his side and asked us to play somewhere else, but when she saw me crying she went to that boy and explained him how was it feeling to us and why not you all play together?   She was a very good analyser with very practical approach.

She had decided a special sweet for all our birthdays. For me- Pooran Poli, my elder sister -Chirote, my younger sister, tirangi Narali bhat,  Goolab Jamoon, and my brother- Shrikhand.  And she used to have plans to make them and keep them ready exactly on our B. days. Mostly she used to cook at night so that she can make them mindfully. She had bought different Dinner Plates for all of us; As soon as we started eating from our own from plate, she took us to the market to buy our own plates.  And we used to have our Lunch and Dinner in the same plate everyday. It was not only hygienic but also it was very easy for us to clean them and keep them back at there places.

When we were four siblings, she divided the whole house work besides cooking between me and my elder sister. According to her this is how we learn house keeping and she was so correct. We are how we are because of her. We learn a lot while doing things.

And when she was suffering from her cancer; I still remember on the last day and the last some minutes, When she saw her Son-in -law, (Elder sister's husband) was there in the house to see her; even in that condition she asked us to make TEA for him.

After her, we all felt that, as if she is still there, anytime she will come and ask us to eat something delicious. All our relatives, friends, family friends felt it, when they visited our home to Console us, to help us, mentioned that as if she was there too, always with us all. She had done a lot of work in the house. She had prepared us all so well that as if she said that;  let her be there with her absence for her journey to the almighty god. And we all will live life  as if she is there with us, all the time. They were right. We all have learned a lot from her.

And at one point we actually did not want to see her in PAINS she was going through. And important part was she was knowing it. She never wanted us to see her in pains. She would have never liked it.

So what we all learned from her is that,
"Self help and get helped on TIME. Help others on TIME too. "

What is the most strongest memory you have about your Mother? Would you like to share here?

Family , Learning

:: My Grand Pas' ::

My Paternal Grand Pa.. I have never seen him, I only know that, he was one of those handful of people who have studied RIG-VEDA. Not only studied but it was MUKHADGATM (By Heart) by him. He used to be invited by many people to recite RIG-VEDA. He is the one who has started VEDA-SHALA (VEDA-SCHOOL) in Mahal area at Nagpur. And was one of the board of directors. His name is still there in the school board.

My Maternal Grand Pa.. He used to come to us in almost every summer holiday. He was an engineer in Railways. Whenever he used to come he used to teach us English and Mathematics. Teaching was his hobby. He had a lot of students. We were very unique students; we used to get all his attention + Chocolates + learning with fun. He never forced his ideas on us. He used to keep his idea slowly in front of us. And used to take our opinion on it; rather it was his style of taking our agreement.

His visits were delights for us. He used to take us with him for evening walks almost everyday. Every time we used to take new root. Sometimes River, or  Green fields, sometimes Mango trees. On our way back home he used to bought us sugar-cane juice. He was very lovely and lively person.

While teaching sometimes I still remember he had become a very strict teacher. I mean he kept me hanging for one full day to know correct answer.  Once he gave me something to read, and I was not knowing the pronunciation, he didn't tell me correct answer, he said, keep trying and find out on your own up till tomorrow by 11am. And as time passed I started crying. He did call me and asked me what happened but said try on your own.

If ever you cannot find out the answer then and only then go to appropriate people to ask.  But if you don't try and still you go to people then they may not even help you. Because they don't know your perseverance and your willing to take efforts. So do not stop Trying. Keep trying. This is a message which made a big difference in my life.

I feel privileged to have GrandMas', and GrandPas' who were doing a lot of things in that age and quite ahead of us.

Family, Ganesha

Shree Ganesha of my blog!!!

It is not just about the God Ganesh, but it is about Biggining. The lord Ganesh is the God whom people pray before beginning of any important work. So I am remembering him to begin before my first blog post. When we begin it is said  in my mother tongue i.e. Marathi, as "Shree Ganesha zala ka?" meaning did you begin?

Every year we with our children have Shree Ganesh Festival at home. We have all Ten days festival. Once me and my husband decided to have it for lesser no. of days. say five or one and half days. But my kids strongly opposed with our idea in fact they completely ignored it. And said, " we will keep celebrating it every year and with full ten days. "

So, every year we bring Shree Ganesh idol at home. As my kids or everyone from the family gets time we plan our 10 days celebration. Kids woke up early in the morning for all these days. And help me in decorations and Arati and Prasadam (offering). This God is also called as The God of Wisdom.

When I was small me and my sister we used to ask a lot of questions to our grandmother. She was a poet and used to read a lot. She used to go to temples to give away Nirupana  (teaching with explanation) on Dasbodha, and Shri Bhagwat Gita, also Dnyaneshwari. and Many other Granthas (Holy books) in Hindu Religion. She was supposed to be very knowledgeable person regarding Gods in our family. When my sister and me went to her. She immediately said, "Sagala khaoo Sampla." (The whole sweets-meets are over). But when she understood that we have a question to ask and that though related with the God. She became very happy.

Our Question was Why the Lord Ganesha is called as the Lord of Wisdom?

A small sigh…. And the things she said…. which is immensely important … when I remember this story I always feel that I am so so fortunate to have grand - mother like her who was having a very practical approach towards life. Those things are still relevant to me as human being, as student of psychology and also as learner and trainer of Emotional Intelligence.

She said, "If you observe this God carefully, you will find he is having very unique features. very different than other Gods and Goddesses.  Actually he is showing and giving us a message through his uniquely designed organs.  Look at his nose, his ears, his eyes,  they all are telling us something.

She explained in Marathi language the following three things….
1. As soon as possible try to reach closer to the situation.  For that keep your all important organs open. So as he is having Long nose, and big ears. and small eyes, also his big stomach, his four hands, and he has a vehicle called mouse, with all these he  is observing very closely and trying to notice every single detail about the happening around him.

2. And then collect the information. Do not immediately come on to the conclusion. First understand about it.

3. Become aware about the world. about the things happening around you.  That is the reason this God is called as The god of Wisdom."

The message she gave through her wisdom and to answer our question was amazing and similar to the learning I am having today, the science we learn today.

So let us all become aware more and more every time  to know and understand better.  See you in the another Note next time.
