MY “PAA”.

My Father ….. When I am writing this, I am remembering his VERSATILITY, INITIATIVES, HARD-WORK, GENEROSITY, INDEPENDENT LIFE, SENSITIVITY, EMPATHY, OPTIMISTIC VIEWS, KIND APPROACH, RESOURCEFULNESS,  DEVOTION, HIS BEING, HIS SEARCH OF JOY IN LIFE, HELPING ADDIVASIE (TRIBAL) PEOPLE…. what not?

He was the one who was born and brought up in a very rich and thoughtful family, Who’s parents were  been gifted a WADA by the SARDAR OF BHOSALE . The wada then was famous by family name as, “ Vaze Wada.”  They were having Cows and Buffalos,  and also a small temple of the God Datta was there in it.

He was the one who had been bestowed with a lot of goodies of life, as, Rich languages, Rich living, Rich learning, Rich friendship and resources. And he had all these goodies through out his life. That way he was SUMPTUOUS.

He had the best Physic. Being a Sports-person, he was also a Colour - Holder of Nagpur University. He was one of the best player of his times of POLE- VAULT in his college. He played sports as, Kabbaddi, Kho-Kho, Foot-Ball, Athletics, Swimming, Pole-Vault. He was in the Kabbaddi Team of Nagpur University. And had a Magnificent Win against Pune University at his times.

He was also Yogachari. Practiced YOGA through-out his life. Getting up 4AM in the morning, Going for a DAWN- WALK, then Practicing YOGA, Reading, Translating(sanskrit into English and Marathi) Going for his work, and after  remembering his Grand-Daughters and Grand-Sons, immediately going to meet them  and living with them for some hours to some days were been his favourite hobby.  He taught us (we all siblings and also my husband Vijay)YOGA. He had also loved to solve word scribbles in his Pass-Time.  He was in Sales and Marketing in Multinationals of that time. His Indo-Western approach always made an impact on all of us.

According to him, life is all about how we take it, and how we move forward. We can keep moving forward even in extreme bad days of our life; Life help us when we think rich. Growing is a continuous process. And no one can stop us from our INNER GROWTH; unless we decide about it.

Money comes and goes, and it comes Late to those who walk on their own path and don’t change it  unnecessarily.  And it comes to those who keep working more, practicing more, learn more, and think and create more. We all siblings learned from him how to blend things wonderfully.  We all are experiencing success through this blending, in our life.

We all have his Sporting Attitude.

We all Love Life, enjoy life and celebrate life; And if something is missing from our life,  we can always try, we strive hard to bring back those things to our life ; then Life becomes amazing. Really. Believe me.

The biggest co-incidence of our life———is———that  my father was born EXACTLY ON GANESH CHATURTHI DAY…..i.e.. FIRST DAY OF GANESH FESTIVAL. And he used to come to my place during Ganapati, And taught my daughter about Shri Ganesh, we started bringing GANESH IDOL every year. And in a way worship both shri Ganesh and rich thoughts of my father.

"Mazi Aaii."

Mazi Aaii, was the most beautiful woman I know in my life. She was not only beautiful but she was also a very good mother and a very good cook. A very passionate to do things in time and was very hard to catch time when it was very  important in life.

But…... when did TIME caught her no one realised……..

She was the best event manager. She used to do a lot of preparations before any event, literally... it may be my elder sister's marriage or it may be her own hospitalisation. It may be a study taking hour or it may be my father's arrival from his office. Everything was just as it was needed, wanted, exact of that particular time.

She was a very graceful lady and very good at ART and HEART. She always had a rich taste, and rich choice. She was a very good dress designer. Her ART of dress designing has acquired by my elder sister.  And her cooking ART was grabbed by my younger sister. For me I got a little bit of her looks and little bit of everything. And one more thing I have taken from her and that is her Feeling language.

She always used to ask us all, "What is feeling to you?"  Whenever we used to go to her; in the late evening to share everything whatever happened in a day. She used to ask us about feelings and thoughts, about particular situation and what was happening to us. I remember one day Me and my all friends;  we could not play in the evening because a very tall boy was deliberately playing with his FOOT BALL in the ground; Everyone took his side and asked us to play somewhere else, but when she saw me crying she went to that boy and explained him how was it feeling to us and why not you all play together?   She was a very good analyser with very practical approach.

She had decided a special sweet for all our birthdays. For me- Pooran Poli, my elder sister -Chirote, my younger sister, tirangi Narali bhat,  Goolab Jamoon, and my brother- Shrikhand.  And she used to have plans to make them and keep them ready exactly on our B. days. Mostly she used to cook at night so that she can make them mindfully. She had bought different Dinner Plates for all of us; As soon as we started eating from our own from plate, she took us to the market to buy our own plates.  And we used to have our Lunch and Dinner in the same plate everyday. It was not only hygienic but also it was very easy for us to clean them and keep them back at there places.

When we were four siblings, she divided the whole house work besides cooking between me and my elder sister. According to her this is how we learn house keeping and she was so correct. We are how we are because of her. We learn a lot while doing things.

And when she was suffering from her cancer; I still remember on the last day and the last some minutes, When she saw her Son-in -law, (Elder sister's husband) was there in the house to see her; even in that condition she asked us to make TEA for him.

After her, we all felt that, as if she is still there, anytime she will come and ask us to eat something delicious. All our relatives, friends, family friends felt it, when they visited our home to Console us, to help us, mentioned that as if she was there too, always with us all. She had done a lot of work in the house. She had prepared us all so well that as if she said that;  let her be there with her absence for her journey to the almighty god. And we all will live life  as if she is there with us, all the time. They were right. We all have learned a lot from her.

And at one point we actually did not want to see her in PAINS she was going through. And important part was she was knowing it. She never wanted us to see her in pains. She would have never liked it.

So what we all learned from her is that,
"Self help and get helped on TIME. Help others on TIME too. "

What is the most strongest memory you have about your Mother? Would you like to share here?

Family , Learning

:: My Grand Pas' ::

My Paternal Grand Pa.. I have never seen him, I only know that, he was one of those handful of people who have studied RIG-VEDA. Not only studied but it was MUKHADGATM (By Heart) by him. He used to be invited by many people to recite RIG-VEDA. He is the one who has started VEDA-SHALA (VEDA-SCHOOL) in Mahal area at Nagpur. And was one of the board of directors. His name is still there in the school board.

My Maternal Grand Pa.. He used to come to us in almost every summer holiday. He was an engineer in Railways. Whenever he used to come he used to teach us English and Mathematics. Teaching was his hobby. He had a lot of students. We were very unique students; we used to get all his attention + Chocolates + learning with fun. He never forced his ideas on us. He used to keep his idea slowly in front of us. And used to take our opinion on it; rather it was his style of taking our agreement.

His visits were delights for us. He used to take us with him for evening walks almost everyday. Every time we used to take new root. Sometimes River, or  Green fields, sometimes Mango trees. On our way back home he used to bought us sugar-cane juice. He was very lovely and lively person.

While teaching sometimes I still remember he had become a very strict teacher. I mean he kept me hanging for one full day to know correct answer.  Once he gave me something to read, and I was not knowing the pronunciation, he didn't tell me correct answer, he said, keep trying and find out on your own up till tomorrow by 11am. And as time passed I started crying. He did call me and asked me what happened but said try on your own.

If ever you cannot find out the answer then and only then go to appropriate people to ask.  But if you don't try and still you go to people then they may not even help you. Because they don't know your perseverance and your willing to take efforts. So do not stop Trying. Keep trying. This is a message which made a big difference in my life.

I feel privileged to have GrandMas', and GrandPas' who were doing a lot of things in that age and quite ahead of us.
